Guidance Counsellor

Full time | Fixed term

Commencing 17 May 2021 to 8 March 2022 

$105,180 - $111,914 per annum + super

Position arising from employee taking leave

The Guidance Counsellor will work collaboratively with school communities to provide a counselling service that facilitates learning outcomes for students and enables quality teaching. 

The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology or Guidance Counselling coupled with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role. They will possess effective relationship building and influencing skills, advanced interpersonal and communication skills, proven and effective leadership skills, and will be committed to the values and ethos of the Catholic faith.

The Guidance Counsellor will provide counselling services to the following schools:

• St Saviour's Primary School, Toowoomba | P-6
• Mater Dei Primary School, Toowoomba | P-6

During weekends and paid school vacation periods, you will not be required to attend work, however attendance may be required in the event of a critical incident.
