Guitar Teacher (2 days per week)

The Role

We require a passionate and motivated individual to teach the guitar at  our secondary school. It is essential that you can demonstrate excellent guitar knowledge and have the ability to consistently teach lessons both in group and individual settings that will inspire a lifelong love and enjoyment of music. 

Your role will included: 

• Teaching music theory, aural skills and practical techniques to pupils entering and preparing pupils for examinations
• Acquiring appropriate teaching materials and resources
• Motivating pupils and encourage progress
• Creating and maintaining a network of contacts to ensure work continuity
• Communicate with academic staff and parents
• Ensure up-to-date knowledge and awareness of examination requirements
• Assess pupils' abilities, providing feedback and writing reports

All applicant must be able to run after school curricular for a small group 

About You

Candidates should be able to teach to teach to standards required for ABRSM and support in Key stage 4 and 5 Music delivery. Experience of arranging music for ensembles would be an advantage.
