Job overview

Our client is an independent Catholic boys’ school catering for over 1750 students from Years 5 – 12. It is located in the Brisbane Bayside suburbs. Students are drawn from a large area of Brisbane, although most come from the local surrounding areas. Students at this college have a wide range of abilities. More than half the students completing Year 12 continue on to tertiary study. The College seeks to provide a dynamic Catholic learning community so that its members are faith-filled, resilient, courageous, well-balanced and prepared to make a difference.

About the Role

  • Term 1 2022 Start
  • Full time, 12-month role with opportunity for ongoing
  • HASS, RE and English required (years 7-9)
  • Ability to teach Junior Drama (year 8) highly regarded
  • No Faith reference required, applicants need to adhere to ethos and values of the school


Selection Criteria:

  • ·Have experience in middle to senior years including holding a role with QCAA (endorser, confirmer and marker).
  •  Have an understanding of an inclusive model of learning with a wellbeing lens;
  •  Have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education;
  •  Demonstrate your passion through your contribution to our Co-Curricular Programs (sporting, cultural and academic)
  •  Be an effective communicator with all stakeholders;
  • Be able to demonstrate exemplary teaching practice;
  • Have strong relationship skills and be able to develop teaching processes in collaboration with other staff;
  • Have the ability to interpret student performance data;
  •  Possess a robust knowledge of behaviour management processes and tools to support the academic performance and Visible Wellbeing of students;
  • Hold a bachelors' degree in education or equivalent qualifications; and
  •  Provide copies of relevant qualifications and evidence of current Queensland Teachers Registration (QCT) or eligibility to apply.
