The Purcell School
The Board of Governors of The Purcell School is seeking an inspirational leader and ambassador to take up the position of Head in January 2019, or earlier if available.
The Purcell School is a leading independent specialist music school, providing a rounded education for 180 pupils aged 9-18. Whilst proud of its strong heritage as the oldest specialist music school in the UK, the co-educational day and boarding School is an exciting and forward-thinking environment in which gifted young musicians can flourish. Students benefit from being part of a supportive, creative community which offers outstanding pastoral care, strong academic teaching and some of the best musical tuition in the country. Above all, Purcell students share every day of their education with other similarly talented, focused and dedicated young musicians from all over the world. This is an excellent opportunity for a visionary candidate with high ambitions for all pupils to build upon the School’s strong international reputation and ensure that The Purcell continues to be recognised as one of the best specialist music schools in the country.
