The Trustees and Governors of Alton School are looking to appoint a new Head to succeed Mr Graham Maher who is leaving in April 2020 after 17 years of dedicated service to the school.
Founded in 1938 by the Sisters of Our Lady of Providence, Alton School is a Catholic independent day school for boys and girls aged 6 months-18.
Situated in the market town of Alton in North East Hampshire’s stunning “Jane Austen” countryside, Alton School is a kind, caring yet ambitious school where every child is known, supported, encouraged and stretched to outperform expectations and to “be the best that they can be”.
The school successfully transitioned to a fully co-educational school in 2018. The Board are seeking a new Head who can capitalise on this success and lead the school’s exciting development plans that include proposals for new sports facilities.
The Board are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational leader who is sympathetic to the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
