An exceptional individual is sought to succeed Mrs Elizabeth Thomas who is retiring at the end of December 2019 after seven years of outstanding leadership. Abbot’s Hill School is an independent girls’ day school situated in 76 acres of Hertfordshire countryside, with over 480 pupils aged from 4 to 16 and a day nursery for children aged 6 months to 4 years.
This position presents an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and innovative Head who will take a leading role in securing the vision for Abbot’s Hill’s future. The Governors are seeking a warm, empathetic educationalist who can identify strongly with the school’s values, is committed to ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning in all areas of the curriculum and will regard all pupils as individuals, ensuring that every opportunity is provided for the development of their skills. The successful candidate will be an inspirational leader and communicator, who is committed to the provision of excellent education and will inherit a thriving school, but with the opportunity to bring their own ambitious vision to its future direction.
