The Governing Body of the Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School invites applications for the role of Head on the retirement of Mr Peter Hamilton in August 2018 following sixteen years of outstanding leadership.
The Haberdashers' Aske’s Boys' School is one of the leading independent day schools in the country. First opened in 1690, the School has a proud tradition of educational excellence and of nurturing the talents and interests of bright boys from a wide variety of cultural and economic backgrounds. Educating more than 1,400 boys aged 5 – 18 years on a picturesque 100-acre campus in Elstree, the School offers a learning environment which challenges boys to achieve the highest academic standards, and a wide-ranging co-curricular programme to give them a broad range of achievements, and a sense of community and shared values.
The School benefits from being within one of the foundations of the innovative and forward-looking Haberdashers' Company, and enjoys close links with other schools within the Haberdashers' family, particularly with the Haberdashers' Aske's School for Girls, which is co-located within the Elstree campus.
This position offers an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious leader to drive the School forward through a collaborative and modern educational vision which will ensure that the School continues to develop and prepares its pupils even more effectively to thrive in the ever changing world they will move into once they leave the School.
