Job overview

No Ordinary School

The Board of Governors is looking for an exceptional teacher and leader, experienced in primary or secondary education, to join us in our mission to provide the best possible start in life for the children of Lewisham.

As our current Head moves on to a Director of Education role, we want to hear from highly skilled professionals with the vision and ability to take our oversubscribed, all-through school to outstanding. This is a fantastic opportunity to consolidate the work that has been done and to shape the school for the future.

The successful candidate will:

  • be an inspirational and highly motivated Christian Leader
  • have exceptional interpersonal, organisational and leadership skills
  • be experienced and successful in delivering goals
  • be ready and prepared for a new challenge including government policies on academies

Trinity is a Church of England School with a distinctive Christian ethos, welcoming and nurturing children of any faith or none. We have close and supportive links with local churches and our wider community which has resulted in us being oversubscribed. Trinity Primary opened in 2013 and is growing one year group at a time. Planned capacity when fully opened is 420 children. Trinity Secondary (years 7-11) numbers 600 pupils.

Our small size and close knit family atmosphere provide a uniquely supportive environment in which children are challenged and urged to excel. The Board of Governors has recently been reconstituted and is completely engaged with the Head and Staff in pursuit of our mission.

Please see our website: http://trinitylewisham.org for further information and request an application pack from head.masters.pa@trinity.lewisham.sch.uk (Erika Drezinska)

Closing date for applications Monday 18 April 2016
Interviews 27 - 28 April 2016

School visits: Monday 11 April (afternoon), Thursday 14 April (morning and afternoon) and Friday 15 April (morning)

The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced CRB check.

Values and vision

Trinity All Through School aims to be a strong Christian community in which children and adults flourish. It aims to be a place where pupils achieve the very best educational outcomes, enabling them to make good life choices and to take their place as citizens of the wider world.

As far as learning goes, the school believes in vocation and seeks to enable children to explore their choices in careers and relationships. The school models itself as a 'grammar-style school’, aiming to offer the very best for every child within a formal, traditional academic framework enriched by sport, music and art.

Leadership is encouraged at all levels of the school and students have opportunities to exercise leadership. Trinity All Through School also strongly believes that formality, in its public events and relationships, helps students by building character and an appreciation of structure.

Ofsted report

We are a ‘Good’ School with Outstanding Elements, Ofsted 2021, an ‘Outstanding’ School in our Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) report and we have been awarded with the Inclusion Quality Mark as a ‘Centre of Excellence’.
