The London Academy of Excellence (LAE) is a flagship of the Free School Movement. Consistently securing the best results in the Borough, the LAE inspires its students to become intellectually curious and independent thinkers. The appointee will build on the Academy’s nationwide reputation for academic excellence and inspire its growing community to greater success, forging even closer links with its six partner independent schools, and with the local community in Newham.

The successful candidate will be a charismatic and collaborative leader, with a strong track record of teaching and management experience gained in the maintained or the independent sector. He or she will have excellent communication skills and external relations abilities, with the vision, warmth and personal authority to further develop the Academy and build on its considerable achievements. A profound resonance with the LAE’s mission to increase social mobility and enable young people to achieve their ambitions is essential.

The London Academy of Excellence is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate must be willing to undergo an enhanced disclosure through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
