Matrix International School (MIS) is an established international school, located in Seremban, Malaysia. The school is approximately 35 minutes away from the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. We offer a broad and innovative curriculum from Early Years to IGCSE, based on a combination of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), Cambridge International Curriculum and the National Curriculum for England and Wales. 


MIS is seeking a person who will offer leadership, inspiration and guidance to the MIS school community; to measure, implement and oversee academic matters in the secondary school; and to work effectively as a member of the secondary leadership team.


We also require a person who takes a progressive, creative approach to teaching and has the necessary skills and vision to enhance the learning and teaching at MIS in KS3 and KS4. We seek a teacher and leader who is dedicated to helping our learners maximise their potential and is committed to the well-being and pastoral needs of our learners.


We are seeking professionals who:

• are UK-trained or equivalent (PGCE or QTS) and has relevant experience of the Cambridge International curriculum and National Curriculum for England and Wales;

• have at least three years of experience in teaching subjects (preferably English or history) in a secondary school and is registered with the Department of Education (DfE) or equivalent;

• have previous experience in holding a leadership position in an international school or a school that offers the National Curriculum for England and Wales;

• have previous experience in reviewing, managing and leading a school curriculum in an international school or a school that offers the National Curriculum for England and Wales;

• have up-to-date knowledge on the Cambridge International curriculum and National Curriculum for England and Wales;

• can deliver a balanced, broad and differentiated curriculum for their learners;

• can deliver well-planned, rigorous and interesting learning experiences for their students;

• have high expectations of learners with appropriate inspiration and challenge;

• encourage and contribute to a well-organised and inspiring learning environment;

• experience of integrating technology into learning and teaching;

• experience of developing high quality continued professional development opportunities and training for secondary teachers;

• experience of rigorous quality assurance processes (including lesson observation cycles, subject review, etc.);

• understand the importance of applying school policies consistently;

• have a growth mindset to all aspects of school life;

• passionate and willing to go above and beyond for the school community.
