Job overview

Responsible to: VCEO, Head of Primary Division

Are you a passionate, caring and dynamic leader with energy and a breadth of skills to enable every single child at Gosberton Academy to reach their full potential? Are you dedicated and enthusiastic with a real desire to build upon the many successes of a primary academy in the heart of rural Lincolnshire? This role offers an excellent opportunity to challenge yourself in a new environment.

We are recruiting a Head of Academy at Gosberton Academy, a 20 PAN primary school with currently 135 on roll.  Gosberton Academy aims to build partnerships with not only children and parents, but also the wider community, including sporting and music organisations, as well as local agencies and services. We offer a comprehensive, broad and flexible curriculum to children of all abilities in a caring, supportive environment. We believe that the academy shares the hopes and aspirations of all parents and carers for their children – happy, secure, well-educated and rounded individuals who are well prepared for their future.

We know that educational leadership is not for the faint of heart, and we actively promote an inspiring and empowering culture. If an unrelenting passion for children’s success drives you to achieve, you understand our mission and we want to talk to you.

You will:

  • have incredibly high expectations for yourself and others
  • accept that only the best is good enough
  • believe that all children can achieve
  • be excited by being part of a dynamic team

We offer:

  • Unparalleled CPD opportunities, both at individual academy level      and across the BWAF Trust
  • Leadership Pathways
  • Dedicated staff and governors who strive to ensure the best      provision and outcomes for all pupils

Applicants must be highly motivated, driven and committed to high quality teaching and learning. They should have the creativity and vision to inspire and lead change but also the focus to ensure successful outcomes are reached. You must be confident and positive with a ‘can-do’ attitude that can inspire and engage children, staff and the local community. You must display compassion and be familiar with holding staff to account whilst being accountable yourself. Above all, you will share our passion and belief that children, their learning and developing their potential is at the heart of all decisions.
