We are looking for a passionate, innovative and dynamic Head of Admissions and Office Lead to lead the school admissions journey and actively support the Headteacher, the recruitment of pupils and transition of new pupils to Falcons Prep Richmond. 

Our School

Falcons Prep Richmond has the capacity to educate 200 boys from ages 4 – 13. The school, which is set in leafy Richmond on the edge of Old Deer Park , combines a warm and nurturing environment with excellent resources, a commitment to teamwork and the professional development of staff.

The Role

Head of Admissions

Main responsibilities

• To lead and develop the admissions function, ensuring that each prospective family and pupil has a full and positive understanding of the school offering.

• To deliver a highly professional customer journey to each and every prospective family.

• To track the admissions journey accurately and in real time.

• To deliver the required number of boys into the school.

Office Lead

Main responsibilities

• To ensure high quality communications with parents and external bodies. Responsible for ensuring the professional integrity of communications with parents, families and colleagues through contacts within or outside the school setting.

• Answer the main school telephone, screen and direct calls 

• Respond to external and internal parental enquiries either in person or by phone or by e-mail  

• Greet and welcome all people entering the school, ensuring all sign in/ wear badges. 

• Be well-presented and confident in dealing with people from all levels and different backgrounds 

• To act as first line contact for the Head, using discretion and tact to ensure telephone callers, visitors and staff receive a professional response and are dealt with by the appropriate person.

• To liaise with members of the academic and support staff as appropriate, generating an environment of efficiency.

• To manage the Head’s diary with confidence and organise day-to-day commitments.

• To oversee the recruitment process of teaching and administrative staff including all pre-employment checks and maintaining the Single Central Register.

• To show absolute confidentiality and discretion at all times.

• To cover routine events or emergencies with equilibrium and confidence. The ability to keep calm in any situation and to deal with anyone who may be upset or emotional will be an asset.

• To assist the Head in maintaining a smooth running and efficient Office by dealing with all administrative functions, anticipating and scheduling regular events and meetings.
