ROLE SUMMARY:

Wetherby School is a thriving and highly successful non-selective, independent school in Notting Hill for boys aged 4 to 8. The school is heavily oversubscribed and extremely successful in securing pupils’ entry into the preparatory school of their choice.

Wetherby School are now seeking a Head of Admissions to play a key role in guiding families through the admissions journey, from initial inquiry to enrolment and beyond.

 

As the first point of contact for prospective parents, the Head of Admissions will provide a warm, professional, and seamless experience, ensuring each family feels informed and supported throughout the process. They will oversee all aspects of admissions, working closely with the Headmaster’s PA and School Administrator to ensure the smooth operation of the school office. In addition to admissions, the role includes some general administrative duties, contributing to the efficient day-to-day running of the school.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all registration requests for the school 
  • Manage all communications from prospective parents, including responding to calls and email queries, sending out registration forms and offer letters, and organise tours and meetings
  • Enter and maintain application data at all stages of the admissions process into iSAMS, including initial application, offer information, financial and contract details for JD Edwards and acceptance status
  • Organise and attend Reception welcome evenings and other events for prospective and current parents
  • Prepare, update and send out parent information packs for prospective parents
  • Track admissions’ statistics and send monthly data to Head Office
  • Liaise closely with the Headmaster and the staff and keep the diary up to date and everyone informed of visits and enquiries
  • Oversee the use of social media to engage prospective parents
  • Perform other office administrator duties from time to time including: Help administer First Aid, manage visitors book, recording pupil absences, assist with billing and other general finance admin support.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Experience of working in a school setting, preferably in admissions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work in a busy environment with adults and children alike
  • Ability to prioritise their work-load and manage ever-changing priorities
  • Good knowledge and understanding of iSAMS and office software packages would be desirable
  • Strong relationship building skills, particularly with parents and clients
  • A willingness to participate in school events

About Our School

Wetherby School is based in Kensington and Chelsea, London. The independent pre-preparatory school admits boys aged 4-8. There are currently around 360 boys enrolled in the school, which occupies a listed townhouse.

It was founded in 1951 and moved to its current location in 1971.
