Head of Arabic A/B - Secondary

Star International School Mirdif is a bespoke British Curriculum School situated in the Mirdif Community of Dubai offering EYFS, Primary and Secondary Education. We are looking to appoint a Secondary Head of Arabic A/B who has the enthusiasm, commitment and energy needed to work in a rapidly growing and improving school. 

The Post

Due to continued expansion we are looking for outstanding teachers who are excited to join our family oriented school and display a passion for education. With the growth of the Secondary school we require an experienced Secondary Arabic A/B leader. Applications are welcomed from teachers or existing heads of Arabic who have a creative approach to curriculum delivery and who put the children first. The candidate will be able to put in place robust assessment and reporting systems for Arabic A/B and have experience of utilising data to track and monitor the progress and attainment of students. You will need to be self-motivated, have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and be able to work well as part of a team.

Qualifications & Experience

Relevant teaching qualification: minimum of a BEd or BA/BSc 

Secondary Arabic A/B specialism

Excellent working knowledge of the Arabic A/B Curriculum in UAE

Experience of utilising data to track and monitor the progress/attainment of students

Experience of leading the assessment and monitoring of students across the Arabic A/B department (preferred)

Minimum of 5 years’ experience of teaching Secondary Arabic in UAE Schools with line management experience (preferred)

Experience of teaching IGCSE/GCSE or equivalent qualifications for Arabic A/B

KHDA approval as an Arabic Teacher preferred 

Terms & Conditions

Contracts are for two years in the first instance and include: 

Tax free salary

Accommodation or allowance

Free schooling for 1st child and 50% bursary for the second child
