Colston’s is a thriving co-educational day school on the outskirts of Bristol. The Upper School occupies a glorious thirty acre campus and has all of its facilities on-site. We are easily accessible from the motorway network and with approximately 750 students aged from 3 to 18.
You would be joining an enthusiastic team with passionate and talented staff and so we are looking for a dynamic teacher and leader to take the role of Head of Art and Photography from January 2019.
We are seeking well-qualified candidates with a proven track record of academic excellence achieved by leading the team with motivation, enthusiasm and a commitment to creating a stimulating approach to teaching and learning. You will be expected to teach across the full age and ability range, inspiring students to develop fully their aptitude for Art and Photography whilst continuing the department’s admirable results. You will pay particular attention to securing excellent outcomes and a clear vision for sharing best practice throughout the department.
The department performs well in external examinations and delivers an exciting programme of extra-curricular provision, including trips abroad which we are keen to continue.
The Head of Art and Photography will report to the Director of Design. It is envisaged that applicants for this post will see this role as a step on their way to a senior management position in due course. We are a thriving and happy co-educational day school for pupils aged 3 to 18, located just north of Bristol. At Collegiate we have approximately 800 pupils, with our Preparatory School accommodating pupils from Nursery to Year 6, and the Senior School accommodating students from Year 7 up to our Sixth Form.
