This post offers an ambitious and dynamic teacher of Art an exciting leadership opportunity in the heart of one of the UK’s most creative and artistic cities. 

As Head of Art you will have overall responsibility for the professional leadership and management of the Art Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning are delivered, resources are used efficiently and effectively and the curriculum is managed and developed in accordance with school policy.

Art is a popular choice for our students at GCSE and A Level and the results regularly impress. We enjoy the opportunities the city provides for exhibitions, installations and inspiration.

We are looking for a creative, inspirational and confident leader, possessing drive, energy and enthusiasm. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to grow a successful department both in lessons and through co-curricular opportunities. You will be flexible and approachable with a high degree of personal drive and energy, plus a true passion and commitment to the teaching, practice and creativity of Art.
