An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join our rapidly growing, successful school. We pride ourselves on positive relationships based on mutual respect and demand nothing but the best when it comes to aspirations, outcomes and behaviour.

New Rickstones Academy is graded ‘Good’ (May 2018) and has a state of the art building offering fantastic facilities for both students and staff. A new building, due for competition in September 2022 will provide additional technology, science, IT and general teaching rooms, needed for our increasing cohort. From September our PAN increases from 180 to 240 and we are now oversubscribed.

We are looking for either an outstanding Teacher of Art or a Head of Art to lead, manage and develop the department, maximising student achievement and progress. The successful candidate will lead the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of work, marking policies, assessment and teaching and learning strategies in the department.

About New Rickstones Academy

New Rickstones Academy is a secondary school based in Witham.  This is an exciting time to join New Rickstones Academy as we continue to expand. Over the last 8 years, student numbers have more than doubled, leading to oversubscription and the addition of a new building in September 2022 to accommodate the growing demand.

We maintained our 'Good' OFSTED rating in 2023.  Whilst learning is our core aim, mutual respect and fantastic working relationships between students and staff is what makes New Rickstones Academy what it is.
