This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Teacher to lead our Art Department.
We are looking to appoint an inspirational, innovative and dynamic Head of Department who is committed to ensuring every child is stretched and challenged to reach their full creative potential. We are seeking to recruit an education professional who is passionate about teaching, and engendering a love of Art. The ability to teach across the full age (Years 5 - 13) is essential, and the ability to teach Photography/Digital Media is desirable.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Deputy Head (Academic) and Headmaster in driving forward teaching and learning both within the department and more widely across the School. This will include reviewing and creating departmental schemes of work, a departmental development plan and the creation of resources for supporting academic co curricular opportunities e.g. societies, departmental trips and other enrichment activities.

About Wellington School
Wellington School is a Church of England denominational, co-educational, day and boarding school in Somerset. As of the most recent inspection, there were 900 pupils on the school roll. The school’s motto is the opening of Psalm 127; ‘If God Be Not With Us, Our Labour is in Vain’. The Senior School teaches pupils between the ages of 11-18. The school also offers preparatory facilities from the ages of 3 onwards. Founded in 1837 as a boys school, Wellington has been fully independent and co-educational since 1978. The 35 acre site is a combination of traditional and more recent architecture. The school operates in both a boarding and day capacity.
