The Forest School Academy Trust welcomes applications for the role of Head of Art. This role is suited to a dynamic individual who will inspire our students and staff to achieve great outcomes. We are keen to hear from professionals who really want to make a huge difference to our students. We have a well-equipped art department which includes a fully equipped darkroom, kiln and large bright and airy art rooms. Our success is based on a strong sense of community with high expectations and mutual respect for all. We develop the whole person and ensure that every pupil is fully equipped for life through our six core values: Aspiring, Safe, Prepared, Independent, Respectful and Excellent. We are eagerly awaiting an Ofsted inspection to endorse the measures we have put in place since our last inspection.
The Forest School Academy Trust is a secondary school catering for boys in years 7 – 11 and is co-educational in our sixth form, which is housed in a fabulous purpose-built sixth form centre. The school has continued to invest in new technology with projects including a brand new school WiFi network, Show My Homework, GCSE Pod, EzyEducation and have recently introduced our Bring Your Own Device programme for students to support learning and reduce staff workload. In addition, we have invested in our sporting facilities, building a MUGA, upgraded our indoor swimming pool and have invested in our gym. We are the school for Reading Football Club Academy players and are working with the club to further develop our facilities to include an all-weather football dome.
