ISA Wenhua International Centre for A Level Introduction

ISA Wenhua International Centre for A Level strives to offer a unique learning experience through our deep commitment to the best quality education, and the highest standards of pastoral care. At the core of ISAIEG's education framework is our two stage international programme, with IGCSE as the first stage, and A-Level as the second. Our courses offer rich academic opportunities. However, for students who are passionate about arts, our Centre also provides A-Level Art courses. The Centre employs a variety of instructional models, including inquiry based learning, and direct instruction. We also offer a variety of activities to enrich the lives of our students and to foster well-being within our community. We are dedicated to holistic education supported by a house and tutor system, and understand the value of high-quality pastoral care. Our Centre aims to cultivate life-long learners with independent goals and ambitions, who are well versed in both western and Chinese culture, and well equipped to face the challenges of the future.

Major Responsibilities  :

1. To teach up to 24 hours of IGCSE/ AS/ALevel .

2. To plan and organise the curriculum, providing structure lessons and activities in order to meet the physical, social, intellectual, and emotional needs of each student .

3. Ensuring the creativity and high quality of teaching and learning of the class by providing the students with a stimulating, and engaging learning experience.

4. Setting clear targets, use effective questioning that enable ESL students to fully participate in the lessons.

5.  Making effective use of assessment and maintaining high standards of homework

6.  To prepare written reports for student, including parent teacher day reports, injury reports, and references for onward education when applicable.

7.  To maintain records and documentation of each student’s learning and progress in line with the school’s assessment policy.

8.To provide documentation and to communicate with the Senior Leadership Team, parents and outside specialists if students need further support or assessment   

 9.Sharing responsibilities for curriculum development, display, performances, trips and organising some aspects of special events.            

10.Advise on student portfolios for university applications.

11.Supervise the administration of IGCSE and ALevel arts exams.

12.Acting in accordance with relevant legislation in the PRC and Guangzhou, particularly with regards to educational provision, health and safety initiatives and safeguarding and ensure that all students and staff maintain these standards.

Key Requirements            

1.University degree and a recognised qualification (such as PGCE or Secondary Education) with a major in Arts、Pure Arts 、Visual Arts、Fabrics 、Fashion Design、3D Printing,etc.          

2.High command of English level ,          

3.Minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in IGCSE or Alevel , ideally with experience in an international educational setting, Experience in teaching Arts,         

4.Strong knowledge or experience or enthusiasm to teach in the IGCSE/Alevel curriculum framework、Curriculum development knowledge、Portfolio Coaching.              

5.Be inter-culturally aware with well-developed interpersonal skills ，           

6.Be committed to ensuring high standards of teaching and learning，            

7.Be collaborative and able to work as part of a team，
