Head of Athletic Development

Full Time, Term Time Only

Fixed Term from 1st September 2023 until 31st August 2024

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking and ambitious Sports Department within an inspirational working environment. There is considerable scope to grow the profile of Athletics development within the College and we welcome applications from motivated, enthusiastic and suitably qualified individuals.

We aspire to inspire and educate our pupils to achieve their potential in sport and to promote their physical wellbeing throughout their lives. The role of the Head of Athletic Development will plan and deliver an inclusive and dynamic programme of strength and conditioning. This will include coaching pupils, developing staff and giving support and advice regarding Athletic Development and any related activities. The ability to adopt an inclusive approach to cater for both our performance pupils and to integrate the principles of Athletic development into sessions with our younger pupils will be fundamental to this role. Additionally, our Dedicated Athlete Scheme caters for our pupils who show potential and motivation; its delivery is an inspiring and hugely rewarding element of this post.

The successful candidate will have experience of coaching to a range of different abilities including the development of High-Performance athletes from 14-19 in a talent pathway, along with a Nationally recognised (UKSCA) coaching and/or other vocational qualifications relevant to Athletic Development.
