Head of Autism Resource Base required for April or September

We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled and experienced practitioner to develop and lead our Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Resource Base.

Historically the Resource Base has been for students who have a diagnosis of dyslexia many of who also have a diagnosis of ASD. You will be responsible for leading the resource base through iits transition to become a focused ASD Resource Base which has already begun. The provision is for up to 25 students.

The right candidate will have a passion for securing the best outcomes for students who have a diagnosis of ASD. 

Admissions to the base will be through the SEN team at Lewisham, based on need and suitability of the provision for each individual child. 

The successful applicant will be passionate, creative and an accomplished practitioner with knowledge, skills and experience of teaching students with ASD in the secondary phase. 

Applicants will be committed to teaching students in the Resource Base as well as leading it. 

Applicants should ideally have additional SEN/ASD qualifications and will be committed to working with other professionals to create an outstanding inclusive provision.
