Head of Biology

We seek to employ a dynamic and inspirational member of staff who will lead by example, develop and motivate their team and be committed to achieving high standards, as Head of Biology.

With the support from the new Head of Department, the successful candidate will be looking to enable our students to achieve outstanding results, not only in Biology but, across the Sciences. This is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding teacher who is now looking for new challenges, or promotion, in an oversubscribed, supportive and successful Academy.

You should be an outstanding classroom practitioner and have true passion and enthusiasm for your specialism. You should be capable of teaching Science across our full age and ability range from Years 7-11 and your specialism at KS5 level. You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be committed to improving your own, and others, practice. It is preferred that candidates have previous experience in a position of responsibility, or be able to demonstrate a proven record of achievement and experience.
