Head of Boarding

The Hammond is seeking a Head of Boarding to oversee all aspects of our three boarding houses, with over 100 boys and girls.  We are looking for applicants who can join us in March 2019, however, this date is flexible for the right candidate.  Our boarding houses have students from year 7 to year 12, from across the UK and further abroad.  These is a tremendous opportunity to re-invigorate our boarding provision, to ensure that pastoral support, staff and facilities keep pace with modern life.  For many of our families this is their first experience of boarding, and our ability to create a 'home-away-from-home'  is why so many parents select The Hammond as their first choice.  Accommodation is provided to staff while on duty.

The successful candidate will understand the commitment required to run a boarding house for both boys and girls, and contribute fully to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school.  The person will have a broad and detailed knowledge of the regulatory framework under which boarding houses operate.
