Bournville College Academy offers provision at KS4 to year 10 and year 11 students who have chosen to follow a vocational pathway alongside studying for their GCSE’s. The Academy was inspected by Ofsted in November 2018 and judged to be 'good'. It was particularly praised for a broad and balanced curriculum, strong and productive relationships between staff and pupils and for the progress pupils make in a safe environment.

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to become Head of School. This is a great opportunity for a talented teacher to provide professional leadership and management across our learners, provide effective pastoral support and secure high quality learning outcomes. Bournville College Academy learners are unique and your leadership will help them to further develop their self-confidence and challenge themselves to be the very best they can be.

While the role would suit a current Head of School we are keen to attract applicants whose experience will not, as yet, cover all aspects of the role. Our experienced Senior Leadership Team will provide the training and 1-1 mentoring to enable you to excel in the role. The Head of School will teach approximately 10 hours per week and preferably be qualified to teach in any of the following areas KS4 Maths, English or Science.

Curriculum departments are grouped into faculties. The Head of Bournville School Academy has a primary responsibility for the specific department and of individuals within a team, while the Faculty Head holds primary responsibility for the whole faculty and its targets.
