Head of Boys' PE

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and inspiring Head of Boys PE, who can consistently teach good or outstanding lessons, to join our large and thriving Faculty of PE, Sport & Dance.  

The successful candidate will be able to enthuse and motivate with a passion for Physical Education and creative dynamic teaching, presence and personality.  You will be joining a vibrant, hardworking faculty that is committed to ensuring successful outcomes for our students.  The successful candidate will be required to contribute to the teaching of Physical Education, Sport and Examination Classes throughout Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.   Extra-curricular sport and physical activity play a significant part in CSIA life and are highly successful with both individual and team achievements at National, Regional and County level in wide range of sports.  These include; Football, Rugby, Badminton, Netball, Cricket, Swimming and Equestrian among others.  The faculty offers an ever increasing range of opportunities in all of the major sports, as well as more alternative activities such as Surfing and Sailing.  Community links are strong and highly regarded within both the curricular and extracurricular programmes.  The successful candidate will be expected to contribute fully to the provision of such opportunities.

Nexus is situated on a separate, state-of-the-art campus that provides a unique programme to approximately 200 gifted students with many joining from schools throughout West Cornwall. The programme offers students a chance to thrive and shine in their chosen field of study through a bespoke curriculum. Successful candidates would also be invited to participate in a rich co-curricular programme that complements the curriculum and develops the students so that they are able to achieve their potential. The Nexus campus is also the home of Cornwall School of Maths and Science (CSMS), a specialist provision for VI Form.
