The College is looking for an exceptional leader and manager to join our high committed College Management Team, leading our teams in Business, Computing & IT and our professional service areas including CIPD and AAT. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head of Department to join our College and lead these areas at an exciting phase in their development.
About you
A strong, experienced curriculum manager is essential with sound people management skills and a passion for developing and engaging teams. Skills in the Digital specialism will be highly desirable as we launch our new Digital Academy with its state of the art facilities next summer.
We have an excellent student community who have a passion for their chosen specialisms and work hard with our staff teams to be the best that they can be. You will work with committed and talented teams in this fast developing area to provide excellent teaching and learning for our students.

Wigan and Leigh College is a further education college in Wigan, Greater Manchester, which has been providing education and training locally for more than 150 years. It employs around 1,000 staff and has a student roll of about 17,000. Further education students can choose the A-level professional honours programme or vocational qualifications such as BTECs. An expanding higher education portfolio of foundation degrees, top-up degrees, higher nationals and certificates is available to adult students of all ages, both full-time and part-time.
Wigan and Leigh College operates from several sites across the borough: the Parson’s Walk Centre, School for the Arts and Pagefield Centre are in Wigan, close to the town centre. The Image Centre and Leigh College are close to the town centre of Leigh.
