Tes are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Head of Business & Economics on a full-time fixed-term basis from August 2022. This role is not suitable for newly qualified teachers

This is an exciting opportunity to join a renowned group of international schools located in China. Originating from one of the UK's oldest independent schools, the first international site opened in 2003 and has since grown across China. They make significant strides in sport and in the arts, graduating to leading universities around the world. The group now comprises nine schools in seven cities and three countries in Asia.

The College is academically selective with an ever-increasing roll which currently stands at 1,669. They are a diverse and dynamic community with students joining from over 40 countries across the world. They pride themselves in having a highly professional, committed and caring teaching community who enjoy an engaging, rewarding and supportive school environment.

The school seeks a well-qualified, caring and inspiring Head of Business and Economics in the Senior School, ensuring all academic and pastoral aspects of the school ensure students come first. This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a strong and forward-looking team in one of Asia's most established and reputable international schools.

The role of the Head of Business & Economics is to be an adaptable and innovative leader, who consults on and establishes a professional direction for their particular responsibility area; viewed as a genuine ambassador for their subject and the school. Key personal attributes and values will include authenticity, integrity and kindness, as well as the ability to communicate clearly, listen effectively, build capacity among others and manage an important area in a high profile British International School.

The Successful Candidate:

- Degree in Business, Economics, or equivalent

- PGCE or equivalent in a related subject

- At least 2 years experience teaching Business and/or Economics to learners in secondary school (Year 7-13)

- IGCSE and/or IBDP experience is desirable

- Experience in leading colleagues to achieve a common goal
