We are looking for an enthusiastic Head of Department (HoD) to join our dynamic Senior Academic Team. 

Reporting to the Vice Principal Academic, you will lead the Business Studies & Accounting Department, facilitating the college’s goal of high student academic achievement and engaging in appraisals and reviews, while continuing to deliver high quality lessons. 

Our teaching staff come from a range of backgrounds and experiences and work together in a mutually supportive team to teach our classes of ambitious international students. As HoD you will raise standards and attainment in this already high-performing team through developing and enhancing the teaching practice of all team members. You will work alongside colleagues as part of the Senior Academic Team, leading the college on matters academic, leading on whole school CPD, ensuring a broad and balanced curriculum and seeking, at all times, to work towards the college’s Vision of Excellence. 

  

Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:

• Leading the Business Studies & Accounting Department 

• Facilitating the college’s goal of high student academic achievement

• Leading appraisals and reviews, and taking part in training and development 

• Delivering high quality lessons


Qualifications and Experience

You will hold qualified teacher status or equivalent, have a track record of outstanding teaching, have suitable subject knowledge and the ability to demonstrate a commitment to Every Child Matters, Safeguarding, pastoral care and promotion of high standards of positive behaviour.
