King Edward VII Science and Sport College is a single-convertor academy with students from Years 10 – 13.
We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified (QTS) inspirational, experienced, Teacher to lead our Business Studies department, ideally joining us in January 2018. The ideal candidate will have evidence of strong subject expertise, plus the ability to inspire students to develop their knowledge and passion for the world of business.
Business Studies is a popular choice for students at the academy both at GCSE and A'level. In addition we offer a level two business and administration course to students in Year 12.
The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner, creative and well organised, with a passion for their subject and for encouraging our students to pursue their studies in Business Studies in both KS4 and KS5.
The academy was graded good at our last Ofsted inspection where the behaviour and pastoral care of our students was commended. Our A level results in 2017 were above the national average.
We take the continuing professional development of staff very seriously. Colleagues with leadership aspirations are nurtured through an extensive CPD programme offered through our partnership with Forest Way Teaching School Alliance.
We are located on the outskirts of Coalville in an attractive rural setting. There are excellent road links to the MI and A511. Teachers typically travel to us from Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and beyond due to the ease of access by car. There is ample free car parking on our site.
