Job overview

Cumberland Community School is a large and popular community school in East London. We would like to appoint someone who is passionate about their subject and enjoys teaching. Ideally, you will have a track record of improvement and some experience of managing staff.

As Head of Business Studies, you will be able to inspire and lead staff, think strategically and be able to demonstrate a high standard of subject knowledge enabling you to deliver high quality teaching to ensure that students achieve their full potential.

We offer excellent staff support and leadership development, good career progression opportunities and a friendly and dedicated approach to school leadership.

We are a forward-thinking school that has dispensed with formal lesson observations, retrospective book marking and written student exam reports whilst maintaining very high standards of care and outcomes. Behaviour is good and the students are keen to progress and are used to working hard.

We prefer candidates who are organised, friendly, and who possess a positive work ethic. Having a few good ideas is always welcome.

If you join us you will be part of a structured, committed and hardworking team that will look after you and help you progress in your career.

Please visit our website www.cumberlandcst.org/vacancies for more information. Your application is a direct application to the Community Schools Trust (CST).
