Head of Chemistry | For September 2021

Twelve dedicated labs and 2 prep rooms, house our team of specialist Science Teachers and Technicians, in a school where students are motivated and thrive in a culture of achievement and success. Our Science students have had a hot air balloon land on the school field; had a visit from a NASA Astronaut; welcomed an Urban Farm into school and have nurtured and hatched their very own Chicks. We are looking to appoint an engaging and enthusiastic Head of Chemistry, to join our highly effective Faculty. You will be a committed practitioner who shares our vision to ‘Let your light so shine – Be the best you can be’. You will have the ability to teach KS3 & KS4 Science, and to lead Chemistry from KS3 right through to KS5. Our ideal candidate will be keen to play an active part in school life, running extra-curricular activities for students.

This is a full-time, permanent post, based at Tolworth Girls' School & Sixth Form. The successful post holder will receive time for their responsibility plus a TLR of £5,322.00pa. Our salary scale is Outer London, Main pay scale currently ranging from MPS1 £29,915.00pa to MPS6, £41,136.00pa and Upper scale £42,559.00pa to UPS3 £45,766.00pa.
