Classical Civilisation is a very popular subject at St. Dominic’s and we require, for the new academic year, a well-qualified, innovative and enthusiastic teacher to lead and develop this important subject in the College.  Success rates are high in Classics, with results being well above national benchmark each year. The successful candidate will teach the new OCR specification at A level and be expected to contribute to the College enrichment programme.  This post is suitable for an NQT or a more experienced practitioner looking to take on the leadership of the subject area.  The Classics sits within the Ancient and Modern Studies Department along with Religious Studies, Philosophy and Psychology.  We are an outstanding Catholic college and the faith life of our community is integral to all that we are and all that we aspire to be.  We are in the top 10 colleges nationally for academic attainment and are part of the Maple Group of Sixth Form Colleges.  We have excellent links with a wide range of universities nationally with excellent progression rates each year.  We were the Sunday Times Sixth Form College of the Year in 2017.

St. Dominic's is the longest established centre for Catholic post-16 education in the Diocese of Westminster. The College provides a wide choice of GCE A, Applied A and AS courses. In addition, BTEC Level 3/ Extended Diploma (Edexcel)

All students are fully supported by Personal Tutors in preparation for employment or higher education. The College provides a Religious Education programme for all students. The Course is accredited by the National Open College Network and students are awarded a Level 1 in Year 12 and a Level 2 Year 13. The examination success rate is outstanding and the vast majority of students progress to higher education.  A wide range of extra-curricular activities is available. 

There is easy access by Metropolitan/Piccadilly lines, British Rail and local bus services.
