Classical Civilisation is a very popular subject at St. Dominic’s and we require, for the new academic year, a well-qualified, innovative and enthusiastic teacher to lead and develop this important subject in the College. Success rates are high in Classics, with results being well above national benchmark each year. The successful candidate will teach the new OCR specification at A level and be expected to contribute to the College enrichment programme. This post is suitable for an NQT or a more experienced practitioner looking to take on the leadership of the subject area. The Classics sits within the Ancient and Modern Studies Department along with Religious Studies, Philosophy and Psychology. We are an outstanding Catholic college and the faith life of our community is integral to all that we are and all that we aspire to be. We are in the top 10 colleges nationally for academic attainment and are part of the Maple Group of Sixth Form Colleges.
