Head of Classics required for a thriving and academically successful independent girls school situated in Hampton.

Tes is currently seeking an ambitious Head of Classics for a well-renowned school seeking to expand its successful Classics Department. This role would suit an individual who can demonstrate commitment to the highest academic standards, to lead and grow the department. The school has a friendly ethos and enjoys supporting passionate teachers who enjoy engaging their learners.

The role will include teaching and coordinating the delivery of  Classics at KS3 through to KS5. You will support the Head Teacher to enhance provision and school curriculum to ensure pupils receive the best chance at attaining that all-important Grade 4 or above. 

They want to hear from passionate practitioners that engage learners and develop learners' knowledge of learning a 2nd language and learning about other cultures.

The school expects:

  • A UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
