HEAD OF CLASSICS (Maternity cover)

This is an excellent opportunity for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to take on the leadership of our well-resourced and successful Classics Department from September 2021 on a fixed term (maternity) cover.

The Head of Classics will be an excellent classroom practitioner with the organisation and management skills required to lead the classics team. They will provide the department with dynamic and creative leadership and have a desire to promote classics learning outside of the classroom.  This role would suit an experienced teacher looking for leadership experience although we will consider applications from talented and ambitious NQTs.

Successful applicants will have an understanding of the commitment required in a large boarding and day school.

RHS has its own salary scale, outstanding development opportunities and subsidised accommodation may be available.  RHS remains a member of the TPS.
