The Deepings School is in the heart of a vibrant, growing community in South Lincolnshire. We are an 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with the full ability range. The word ‘improve’ is central to our values and we expect every member of our school community to be the best they can be.

The school is delighted to offer this exciting role and opportunity for September 2017. We require an inspirational individual to lead  pastoral care, encourage high quality learning and strong progress for students in one of three colleges within the school.

You will:

  • lead a team of teachers and support staff
  • monitor and evaluate academic progress and attitudes to learning of all students in the college
  • develop, co-ordinate and evaluate intervention programmes to raise attainment
  • work with Heads of Department and other staff to ensure progress of individual students
  • motivate, challenge and inspire tutors, ensuring purposeful use of tutorial time
  • be a positive role model for staff and students
  • be responsible for student wellbeing
