Job overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and passionate Teacher to lead this active and successful department within the school in this newly created role.

Bryanston is a thriving and popular school, offering professional development in a culture which recognises and champions aspiration, having been awarded ‘excellent’ in all areas in a recent ISI inspection.

In addition to offering Computing, Bryanston also offers to pupils the International Baccalaureate, and a knowledge of each qualification, and experience of teaching each to the highest level, would be desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Computing across the age and ability range at secondary level. An on-going commitment to developing the subject curriculum and to professional development is essential.

A willingness to be involved in helping with the running of a boarding school, contributing to extra curricular activities, will be of significance.

In return, you’ll enjoy an exceptional working environment, competitive salary scale, state-of-the-art facilities and wide-ranging prospects for development.

The post is currently non-residential, although if the preferred candidate is willing to undertake boarding house duties, and there is a vacancy, this may be considered.

About Bryanston School

Bryanston is an independent boarding and day school for boys and girls aged 3 to 18, set in a beautiful 400-acre site near Blandford Forum in Dorset. It includes Bryanston Prep School, a co-educational day and boarding prep school in the neighbouring village of Durweston.

Founded in 1928, the school aims above all to develop the all-round talents of individual pupils. A broad, flexible academic and extra-curricular programme is offered and each pupil benefits from considerable one-to-one help and guidance from a personal tutor, subject teachers and housemaster/housemistress. Bryanston aims to combine the best of the new and the old, as befits the school motto et nova et vetera.
