Ashmole Trust was formed in 2015 building upon the success of Ashmole Academy and its tradition of outstanding school performance.  The Trust currently consists of a primary and secondary school and has future expansion plans.  

Ashmole Academy is a forward looking, high achieving secondary school with an excellent team of staff.  The school has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from trustees, governors, parents and pupils.  We currently have approximately 1900 pupils with a growing and vibrant 6th Form of approximately 600. Our examination results are consistently high and the Academy remains heavily oversubscribed every year.

 We have introduced a new and exciting role within the school which will include Head of Computing to take responsibility for Computer Science within the school. The successful candidate will be able to teach GCSE and A Level  Computer Science, will have a proven record of success in order to co-ordinate Computer Science and promote coding within the school.

 Computer Science is currently taught at Key Stage 4  and 5.   It is a popular subject at GCSE and A Level with an excellent uptake. The course has been designed to stretch and challenge the most able students in the school. Computing is clearly an exciting and growing field and we seek an outstanding practitioner to lead the subject and inspire some of our most talented minds.

 The new role also includes taking forward our whole school IT initiatives to include working with the teaching and learning team to integrate IT across the curriculum and lead on IT developments and innovations to improve the school’s education provisions.

 

The role is to start at Easter or September 2023 and interviews will be held w/c 6th February 2023
