We are looking to appoint an inspirational and dynamic Head of Computing to join us on our journey to academic excellence.

John Flamsteed Community School is an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school located in Denby, Derbyshire within easy reach of Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield and the Peak District. We are a founding member of the East Midlands Education Trust and work in close partnership with other academies within the Trust to ensure opportunities for continuing professional development. We enjoy an excellent local reputation and our intake has expanded from four to six forms of entry in recent years. 

Visitors are impressed by our confident and articulate pupils as well as the smart appearance and excellent     behaviour of our students. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented teacher to join a thriving school and work with students who are keen to learn.

John Flamsteed Community School is a mixed, mainstream, non-denominational secondary school in Denby, Derbyshire. It caters to students aged 11 to 16 and has approximately 852 pupils enrolled.

John Flamsteed Community School was founded in 1894 as Smithy Houses School. It reopened under its current name in 1981.
