Head of Computing
Teacher payscale plus TLR 2b allowance (£4737)
Required for an April or September 2018 start to an ‘outstanding’ candidate
Golborne High School is a thriving and popular school. We have the highest expectations of our pupils and are determined to become ‘outstanding’ in all that we do. Our vision is to become a beacon of excellence at the heart of the community.
We are looking to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Computing to join our Computing Department which is part of the Maths Faculty. You will lead the Computing Team in a modelling and coaching capacity to ensure that an already successful faculty reaches its goal of ‘outstanding’.
We are a self-improving school and our commitment is to developing and supporting all of our staff in their chosen career path. We deliver a comprehensive induction programme and encourage all of our staff to be ambitious for their futures. The role would suit professionals who have the drive and a determination to ensure that all children succeed. The successful applicants will also demonstrate an ambition to develop in their role and embrace the CPD that is available to support them in becoming an outstanding practitioner.
We are looking to appoint a colleague who has a proven track record of raising standards in Computing who can demonstrate inspirational teaching and a passion for delivering lessons which are motivational, challenging and engaging. You will need to demonstrate the energy, enthusiasm and commitment to work as part of a team which is determined to achieve ‘outstanding’. In return you will work in an exceptional and supportive environment that will further develop your professional skills and ambitions.
We would welcome applications from colleagues at a relatively early stage of their career who have exceptional subject knowledge, strong leadership potential and a clear understanding of how to enable all students to make outstanding progress in their learning.
An application form and further details of the post are available from the school website www.golbornehigh.wigan.sch.uk.
