We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to become the Head of Department for 16-18 Construction Study Programmes. The Construction Department is a high performing department with an excellent reputation for delivery of construction skills in the region.  


The successful candidate will have a proven track record of well-developed leadership, communication and organisational skills and a commitment to providing an outstanding learning experience for the students in their care.  


They will be an experienced and inspirational teacher and trades person with the ability to lead a department in creating an outstanding learning environment that promotes the values of craftsmanship, and hard work and delivers excellent outcomes for students.  

They will also demonstrate an understanding of the barriers to learning that students may face as they undertake their learning journey at the college and a commitment to providing opportunities to support construction students in their next steps.  

They will have experience of managing a diverse team to deliver successful outcomes and have a sound knowledge of working successfully within a robust quality assurance framework. They will also demonstrate an ability to establish productive and meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that construction students achieve their potential.
