Job overview

My client is a large and established Further Education College based in West Yorkshire and is seeking to appoint a Head of Creative and Digital Industries who will be responsible for leading and managing the development and quality of the Creative and Digital Industries curriculum across Visual Arts, Graphic Design and Media to be based in their brand new facility.

This is an exciting new post that aligns curriculum delivery and development to the key local and regional priorities and will be fundamental to ensure that the College maximises opportunities to grow and enhance provision across the spectrum of Creative and Digital Industries.

The ideal candidate will require experience of teaching in an educational organisation (FE, HE) and should have a relevant teaching qualification and industry experience form a creative and digital media field.

The post holder will support the Assistant Principal Curriculum and Quality in raising standards of the area and will lead, manage and be accountable for the performance of staff within the area of responsibility in order to achieve learner recruitment, attendance, retention, achievement and success and value added targets.  There will also be responsibility for a designated cross College priority as identified by operational or strategic needs.  Experience in, and the ability to, manage financial, human and physical resources are essential along with the ability to lead teams and inspire others to continually achieve.

This is a permanent appointment with a salary circa £46k-£48k.
