We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, driven and creative practitioner to join us on our journey to academic excellence.

John Flamsteed Community School is an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school located in Denby, Derbyshire within easy reach of Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield and the Peak District. We are a founding member of the East Midlands Education Trust and work in close partnership with other academies within the Trust to ensure opportunities for continuing professional development. We enjoy an excellent local reputation and our intake has expanded from four to six forms of entry in recent years.

You will play a pivotal role in leading the team and driving further improvements in curriculum planning and implementation. As a middle leader you will lead on the smooth day-to-day running of Design & Technology and, along with all senior and middle leaders across the school, you will play a key role in ensuring that all staff achieve a sensible work/life balance, flourish in their roles and can achieve their professional goals

John Flamsteed Community School is a mixed, mainstream, non-denominational secondary school in Denby, Derbyshire. It caters to students aged 11 to 16 and has approximately 852 pupils enrolled.

John Flamsteed Community School was founded in 1894 as Smithy Houses School. It reopened under its current name in 1981.
