We are looking for someone who is ambitious and inspirational to lead our dedicated and talented English department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Second in English who is ready for promotion, or a current HOD looking to broaden their experience.

Reporting directly to the Headteacher and Executive Headteacher, you will have access to high quality CPD, and support to develop as a leader. You will have the drive to lead and develop the curriculum and quality of teaching, and the ability to ensure our students reach their full potential.
We have one non-negotiable: you must be passionate about the care, happiness and learning of the children you’ll work with.

ABOUT WIGSTON ACADEMIES TRUST
Wigston Academies Trust is part of the newly formed campus of schools, which opened in September 2015. The Trust incorporates Wigston Academy and Wigston College. Our distinctive school badge links the school to Wigston Magna representing as it does the steeples of All Saints and St. Wistan Churches, recalling the town’s former name of “Wigston of two steeples”. We are extremely proud of our links with the local community, both in the past and in the present. Wigston Academies Trust is made up a single large campus consisting of:

There is also plenty of free on site parking available.
Local amenities include a swimming pool and gym, two large chain supermarkets with a number of smaller local shops.
