We are excited to offer this fantastic opportunity for an inspirational and ambitious Head of Department for English to join Grace Academy Coventry. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of English with the experience or clear potential to organise, manage, lead and develop the Department Team. The position is ideal for a teacher keen to gain, increase or bring experience of Department Leadership.

English is at the forefront of teaching and learning across the school and we have a diverse, dynamic team of practitioners who are enthusiastic and passionate about the subject and the school. The climate for learning in the English corridor is very positive and student attitudes to the subject are amongst the best in the school, meaning the foundations of the department are very strong and help staff to become established quickly. In English, students are studying the AQA specification. Language and Literature are co-taught during KS3 and separated at KS4. At KS4 we study: The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Power and Conflict poetry, Romeo and Juliet and An Inspector Calls.
