A full-time, well-qualified and innovative teacher is required to lead the history department at KS3, GCSE and A Level for September 2017. 

Claremont Fan Court has a strong history tradition. Applicants will be able to demonstrate an effective teaching style and to have a sound knowledge of KS3, GCSE and A Level history along with a specific degree in history.

Curriculum leadership experience could be an advantage but aspiring leaders are also encouraged to apply. A strong honours degree and a teaching qualification are expected along with relevant work experience. A willingness to contribute to the co-curricular and pastoral life of the School is essential.

About Claremont Fan Court Senior School

Claremont Fan Court School is a thriving, successful co-educational day school for pupils from 2 1/2-18 years. It is situated just outside Esher, Surrey, only 16 miles from London and is set in 96 acres of historic landscaped grounds of the Claremont Estate.

The School consists of the Pre-Preparatory and Nursery School for pupils aged 3-7 years, the Preparatory School for pupils 7-10 years, and the Senior School for pupils from 11-18 years, each with its own Head.

Claremont is an e-learning school with excellent IT facilities, offering all staff a real opportunity to use and enhance IT skills.
