Job overview
The States of Guernsey are looking for a Head of Department to join the team at Le Murier school.
The person appointed will be suitably experienced and qualified and able to lead the school in the teaching of children with Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties, ASD, as well as having some knowledge of Multiple Learning, Language and Communication Difficulties This role will involve liaising closely with several classes of teachers and their children within the school. This role is available from 1st September.
Le Murier is an 11-19 Special School catering for students with a wide range of learning difficulties and is collocated with St Sampson’s High School. The School is organised into three Departments, Middles (KS3), Seniors (KS4) and Sensory and Communication (catering for students with the most complex learning needs to Year 14).
