The role

Smart Teachers are seeking to recruit a Head of Department Music Teacher to join a prestigious Independent School located in Hampstead, North West London. The successful Head of Department Music Teacher will join the school in January, initially until the end of the academic year, with a high possibility for a permanent contract in September 2022. The successful candidate will be responsible for running the department and teaching music from Reception through to Year 8. They will also be required to run some extra-curricular activities and supervise visiting instrumental teachers. This is a great opportunity for Music teachers to develop and take the next step in their careers.

The school is located in an old Victorian building and the music department is very well resourced.  The pupils who attend and high attainers and have a thirst for learning. Requirements

To be considered for the Head of Department – Music Teacher position, you will:

• Hold an enhanced DBS 

• Have previous experience working with children in the UK in the past 2 years 

• QTS
