The role

The Head of RE & Sociology takes a major role in driving forward the collective vision, aims and objectives of the school with all stakeholders.

Ensuring that all students,  are making excellent progress and are safe, happy and thriving in the school environment

Ensuring that the pastoral curriculum is planned and delivered to the highest standards and includes Education with Character, Careers and Relationships & Sex Education at its core

Providing strong and inspirational leadership to the tutors and through this to the school

Ensuring student attendance is excellent

Ensuring that every student has an appropriate and achievable destinations plan


About You

We are looking for the right people to join our team. This is an exciting Middle Leadership position which would suit a highly motivated and skilled individual looking to join a thriving school and wanting to develop their leadership skills.  We want to hear from applicants who wish to build on our improvements, share our vision for providing an outstanding environment for teaching and learning and who, like us, value drive, integrity, scholarship and contribution.

The successful applicant will be required to work with a line manager from the Senior Team to bring about rapid improvement of student outcomes and progress across their department.
