We are seeking to appoint a full-time Head of Sciences to lead and manage the department, and ensure high quality teaching, learning, assessment and learner outcomes. This role will be offered on a permanent contract from 1st January 2018 and will be based at Strodes College in Egham.

The Sciences’ Department comprises of Level 3 provision in A Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Geography as well as Level 3 BTEC Science, Level 3 BTEC Health and Social Care and Level 2 BTECs in Science and Health and Social Care.

The Sciences Department is currently based in five new dedicated laboratories with two specialist prep rooms and classrooms dedicated to Geography and Health & Social Care. Classrooms and laboratories have interactive whiteboards and desktop PCs with appropriate software. Office accommodation is provided for the teaching staff and most are provided with their own laptop. The Department has its own site on the college’s VLE and this is regularly used by the students.
